Georgetown
The 2018 Georgetown project consists of Hannah, Britney, Tara, and Gwen. These 4 Peer Educators teach in a variety of local schools, youth-friendly spaces, and community groups in the capital city of Guyana. They facilitate discussions surrounding health at a variety of schools across the city, and engage the community in health based activities.
Sounds like you all are doing good work! Keep it up, have fun, and be safe. It is really good that you have some solid local contacts to facilitate your reaching opportunities. As a previous QMO exec member, I know that the issue of sustainability was a major concern, and your linkages would definitely help with keeping your work going from year to year. Enjoy every second- as one who was there I know that I learned as much if not more than I taught, and was forever changed for my experiences in Guyana.
